Itinerary
Alice Springs to Adelaide - Departs Fridays
Day 1
We pick you up from your accommodation at around 6am and we head south along the Stuart Highway to Erldunda for our first stop. We then stop for a photo opportunity at the NT/SA border. The next stop is The Breakaways for some breath taking photos of the rock formations. We then head through the amazing outback landscape and the moon scenery of the opal fields of Coober Pedy. Upon arrival we check you into your underground accommodation and you will do an opal mine tour & visit an underground house.
Day 2
An early start after the free continental breakfast, we continue down the Stuart Highway to Port Augusta with a quick stop in Woomera for some interesting photos. We then make the journey to the City of Churches and drop you off at your hostel accommodation in the city.
Adelaide to Alice Springs - Departs Sundays
Day 1
We pick you up from your accommodation in Adelaide around 5am and head to Woomera for the first photo opportunities of the real Australian outback. Then it is up the Stuart Highway to Coober Pedy, the worlds known place for its underground living and beautiful opals. While in Coober Pedy its off for a guided tour of an opal mine, an opal cutting demonstration and viewing of an underground house. We then check into our underground accommodation at Umoona.
Day 2
After our free continental breakfast we head to The Breakaways for some amazing photos of the rock formations, then up the highway to the NT/SA border. We continue along through the Northern Territory watching the landscape as it changes into the rugged outback. We head to Alice Springs where we meet up with our new found friends at Annie's Place.
