 THE PINNACLES INFO

One of the strangest natural formations in the world, the Pinnacles of Western Australia are limestone formations contained within Nambung National Park, near the town of Cervantes.

Until the 1960's when it was added to teh Nambung National Park, the Pinnacles had remained unknown to most Australians. These days the Pinnacles are one of Australia's tourist highlights and receives over 250,000 visitors every year.
The season to see the Pinnacles is during springs during the months of August and October. During this time the days are mild in weather and its also the period in which wildflowers start to bloom. In the mornings and late afternoon is generally the best time to visit the area as the play of light brings out the colours and dramatic shadows of the bizarre formations.
